“So they’re talking about my past life. I’ve tried to do things, I got to a certain level, I burned it down with my addiction. Well, if I try that again… Well, let me tell you something. You encounter this power, you embark on this manner of living, you are a new creation. Whatever happened before isn’t necessarily happening again. And if it does, it’s for purpose. Sometimes we think we’re ready. I came in homeless. Homeless. No home. I wasn’t raised to be that. It didn’t come naturally to me. And things didn’t get good for a long time thereafter.”
