Temporada 3
Kern River
Northeast of Bakersfield, I crossed the Kern River. Hoping that the valley fever don’t break my stride. Movie Road and Manzanar await on the other side. No looking back to see Kern River. It's not the destination. It's the journey.
Blues (The Ed McMah0n Blues)
I called up the mailman and I asked him to look again. He said, "You ain't even got nothing from Ed McMahon". Every self respecting songwriter has a blues song. This is mine. I think Johnny Carson would even approve of it. Hereeeeeeeeeee's David.
Temporada 2
Quips & Quotes From Quitaque
He got jacked up like a car with four flats. He got drove just like a rusty nail. As a football coach for Sweetwater High School between 1986 and 1997, weekends were never dull at the field house as we prepared for our next opponent. Coach Kenny Chandler made sure we were properly entertained with his Quips and Quotes from Quitaque (kitty-kway).
She'll Go Down In His Story
Her name came up one Friday night while they were playing dominoes. Yes, she'll go down in his story.....the one true love that got away. A sad tale of lost love over a game of dominoes between old timers captures the hearts and imaginations of friends and each time the tale grows.
Summertime In Colorado
There's nothing like the summertime in Colorado. Skiing Arapahoe in early June. As a Texas high school football coach, I loved heading to Colorado for summer vacation. Many memories were made and this song captures a few of them.
Siesta Time
Mi corazon remembers, y las manos can recall. I need siesta time to figure out the reason why. Esta manana, mis labios were still dry. While in Cabo, I wrote this song (in Spanglish) about remembering a girl in my dreams.
Come One, Come All To The Comal River
Northeast of San Antonio, there's a German town that we all know. Come on to New Braunfels. It's the place to be my friends. Our family had a family reunion there in 1992 and I wrote this song to commemorate the occasion.
Agave Time
Anejo with orange ...Repasado lime...Silver and pinneapple on my mind. Shake me up it's agave time. A trip to Cabo resulted in a wonderful tequila tasting where the result was a catchy tune with a Mexican flare.
Christmas In Michigan
I wanna do Christmas in Michigan and celebrate New Years with my kin…in Michigan. From Texas to Michigan the grandparents are going to see all of the grandchildren for the holidays.
Genevieve
Genevieve, you're one fine girl. You're the only one. From Huntsville to Sam Houston State University to Sweetwater, Texas...Genevieve Garcia Mayes has been my wife and best friend for 44 years.
