During his 30+ year tenure as Troy Lee’s right-hand-man, Maki created some of the most iconic designs of the 90’s, 2000’s and 2010’s. Now designing for legendary instrument companies and legacy musicians (Eddie Van Halen, anyone!?) Maki’s legacy continues to grow under his own venture, Groove Machine. Listen in to hear about his growing up in Japan and moving to SoCal in the late 80’s, the pivotable race in Suzuka, and the events that lit a fire of inspiration that still burns today.
