Serendipity And Destiny

In this episode, Pete tells a story of serendipity and destiny that began nearly 50 years ago and resulted in the peace of mind knowing, despite not having a clue along the way, that he ended up where he was supposed to. Pesto And Murder

Just like the dancers who went on to marry millionaires--as David Wondrich recounts in his book, Imbibe!-the Florodora cocktail is unapologetically alluring, a mess of muddled raspberries swirled with lime, gin, and ginger soda. It was most definitely drunk by the well-heeled crowds who sidled up to its likely barroom of origin, at the Waldorf Astoria hotel. 4 RASPBERRIES 1½ OUNCES GIN ½ OUNCE SIMPLE SYRUP 1 OUNCE LIME JUICE GINGER ALE, TO TOP GARNISH ORANGE WHEEL, LIME WHEEL, AND A RASPBERRY In a cocktail shaker, muddle raspberries with simple syrup. Add gin, lime juice, and ice and shake until chilled. Double strain into a Collins glass over ice. Top up with ginger ale. Garnish with an orange wheel, lime wheel, and a raspberry.

Denise Stajkowski

On this week's show we do a deep dive interview with the delightful Denise Stajkowski, author of the book "Let's Talk About It - A Healing Journey Through Pain To Peace" based on Denise's own experiences from around age six to today. I found this to be a difficult read, but an ultimately rewarding one as well. I should mention that the book touches on some very dark and disturbing behavior, so be aware.
