It's Canada Day!
This week's episode starts with some brief housekeeping, including an announcement of the OTF Movie Stock Market winner for the first half of 2026 (1:40). Afterwards, Elijah, Maddy, Mike, and Dalton discuss some of their favourite Canadian films (including Mommy (2014), Crash (1996), Kanehsatake: 270 Years of Resistance (1993), and Incendies (2010), what qualifies as a Canadian film, and the intricacies of filmmaking in Canada--both negative and positive (14:24). Lastly, they discuss their thoughts and feelings on one of the most talked about movies of 2026, that just so happens to be a very Canadian film--Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie (48:54).
Hosts: Elijah Rae, Mike Klassen, Maddy Richard, and Dalton Pike
