Rosemary Gattuso completed a Master of Law at the University of Technology, Sydney, in 2005, with a focus on dispute resolution practices, including mediation and restorative justice.

She originally studied mediation and negotiation theory at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School in 2004, where she also mediated small claims cases in District Courts throughout Boston, Massachusetts.Rosemary has been a researcher in the Law and Conflict Management Faculty of LaTrobe University.

Since 2011 she has worked as a mediator for the Family Court in government-funded centres and private practice across Sydney, which led her to undertake postgraduate studies in couples and family therapy, which fostered her interest and self-study in childhood trauma and neuroscience.
