In “Loving Your Leaders” (1 Timothy 5:17–25), the church is reminded that pastors and elders who lead faithfully should be honored, appreciated, and supported for the work they do. God calls pastors to shepherd His people with love, care, and diligence, especially through preaching and teaching. At the same time, pastors are not above accountability. Accusations against leaders should never be based on gossip or personal preference, but legitimate sin must be addressed when supported by evidence. When correction is necessary, it should be handled without favoritism and with the goal of repentance, restoration, and protecting the health of the church.
