Running with the End in Mind - Hebrews

Today's message is about running the spiritual race with the end in mind. Anyone that has put their faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior is running a spiritual race. In this race their will be challenges, obstacles, disappointments, and even defeats but there are several things we can do to prepare in advance to be successful.

A Seat at the Table for Sinners

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus often revealed the heart of God over a meal. At tables, Jesus taught truth, extended grace, rebuked hypocrisy, offered forgiveness and redefined who belongs in God’s family. When Jesus accepts Levi’s invitation to dine with tax collectors and sinners, He extends grace and belonging to those society had pushed aside. This moment shows us that He came not for the self-assured, but for those who know their need for healing.

Through grace, we’ve been redefined as people who live to please God, not sin! In a world where identity is often shaped by performance, past mistakes, personal feelings, or public opinion, the Gospel offers a radical redefinition: our true identity is found in Jesus’ finished work on the cross and the transforming power of His resurrection. As we dive into Romans 6–7, we are invited to die to sin, be raised with Christ, and walk in newness of life. This series explores what it means to live out of our new identity, free from the power of sin, the weight of the law and in our identity redefined in Jesus!
