Today’s reading takes us to Psalm 36, where David shows us two realities: the sinful man and the saved man. The sinful heart listens to rebellion, flatters itself, speaks deceit, and eventually plots what it once would have feared. Sin does not begin with the hands; it begins when rebellion is given authority in the heart.
But Psalm 36 also lifts our eyes to the steadfast love, faithfulness, righteousness, and justice of God. In Him is the fountain of life, and in His light we see light. So today, read Psalm 36 and ask the Lord to silence every voice of rebellion, draw you under the shadow of His wings, and satisfy your soul with the river of His delight.
