Today’s reading takes us to Romans 9, where Paul carries a deep burden for Israel and points us back to Hosea. After showing that all mankind is guilty, that God saves, secures, and sanctifies by His grace, Paul turns his attention to the people of Israel and reminds us that God’s promises have not failed. His mercy is His to give, and the Creator has authority over His creation.
