Today’s reading takes us to Hosea 2, where God exposes the heartbreak of Israel’s spiritual adultery. His people had chased after false lovers, believing they could provide what only the Lord could give. But every idol eventually leaves the soul empty, bruised, wasted, and forgetful of the God who has been faithful all along.
Yet Hosea 2 does not end with rejection—it turns toward relentless pursuit. God says “I will” again and again, not only in judgment, but in restoration, mercy, covenant love, and renewed intimacy. So today, read Hosea 2 and remember: the false gods cannot satisfy, but the true God still pursues, restores, and calls His people back to Himself.
