Today’s reading takes us to Psalm 33, a psalm that calls the righteous to praise the Lord and stand in awe of His Word. God speaks, and creation obeys. His Word is faithful, true, morally powerful, creatively powerful, and completely unmatched. The same God who made everything by His Word still rules over everything by His wisdom.
Psalm 33 reminds us that the Lord’s plans stand forever, His providence governs history, and His people are never sustained by their own strength. The war horse does not save, and human power cannot rescue; our hope is in the steadfast love of the Lord. So today, read Psalm 33 and let it lift your eyes: praise Him for His power, trust Him for His plans, rest in His providence, and remember that blessed is the people whose God is the Lord.
