Today’s reading takes us to Matthew 17, where Peter, James, and John see Jesus transfigured in glory. The One who had just spoken of suffering and death now shines with divine majesty, while Moses and Elijah stand with Him, pointing to the Law and the Prophets finding their fulfillment in Christ. Then the Father speaks from the cloud: “This is my beloved Son… listen to him.”
