If that rain woke you up, you're not imagining things. We picked up seven-tenths of an inch overnight. And this morning's downpour is just getting started.
Eastern and southeastern Nebraska are dealing with thunderstorms through mid-morning. Some could pack large hail. Omaha climbs to 68 degrees before the bottom drops out this afternoon. Lincoln hits 69 degrees with the same storm risk.
Western Nebraska? You're living in a different season. Snow replaces rain by early afternoon, with 2 to 4 inches expected — possibly more in the Sandhills. North winds gust to 40 miles an hour, whipping up blowing snow and wiping out visibility. You'll peak at 41 degrees before crashing to 20 degrees tonight.
