Canucks vs Wranglers | Postgame | Rusty 'n Dusty | Too Little Too Late

Dustin Boydell joins Russell Holiday to break down the Abbotsford Canucks' regular-season opener, falling 4–2 to the Calgary Wranglers at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The boys start off by finding the bright spots in a tough divisional loss, highlighting a gritty pushback where the Baby Canucks dominated the second and third periods by outshooting Calgary 29–12. They get into the brutal, bouncy ice conditions following the Flames' home opener, Nikita Tolopilo battling through tough bounces and blown coverage early, and Ty Mueller cutting the deficit off a sweet alley-oop breakout connection between Ilya Safonov and Trey Fix-Wolansky. As well, they chat about Jimmy Schulte wiring an absolute laser top corner, Kirill Kudryavtsev providing immediate response out of the penalty box, and Johnathan Kovacevic/Castagna sealing the game with an empty-netter.

Then Rusty 'n Dusty dive into the organizational depth and run through Dave Hall's prospect updates from around the hockey world. They discuss Alexey Medvedev's stellar 38-save debut performance, Parker Alcos displaying veteran patience with an assist in his NCAA opener, Anthony Romani hitting the scoresheet for Michigan, and big defenseman Basile Sansonnens earning expanded penalty-kill duties in Switzerland. Lastly, the boys look ahead to the Canucks releasing their 16-game Black Skate jersey schedule, anticipate Ty Young likely getting the crease for Abbotsford in Saturday's rematch, and preview the Vancouver Canucks hosting the Calgary Flames at Rogers Arena.

If you are sick of Luke Gazdic's poor analysis during the intermission, if you are looking for someone to banter with during the game and if you want to meet a bunch of crazy hockey fans then this stream is the one for you. There will be mayhem in chat so make sure you say hello when you stop by.
