All aboard the Horror Express. Sorry about the late post. Trying not to make a habit of it. This week Mathias the ill and Rated-PG review Eugino Martín's 1972 classic Horror Express. Starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. I'd never seen this one before but Matt was all about it and for good reason. You definitely need to check this on out on SHUDDER.
Stoked for this one. Got a great interview with Horror Movie Director - Sean Haitz. Sean talks about how he got into the biz, and we talk about his current and upcoming projects: Mangrove Slasher 2 - available on Prime Video. Big Top Evil - available on Paramount + and Prime Video. Cannibal Comedian (upcoming) Area 5150 (upcoming) Thumpers Revenge (upcoming).... Make sure to follow Sean on IG @sean_haitz
What the fuck!? You gotta listen to this weeks episode on Joe Begos' 2019 fever dream of a horror movie - BLISS. This one is a straight trip that starts mid but really ramps up in the end. Great music, awesome visuals, tons of blood and gore. Def worth a watch!
A day late and a dollar short. Either way - were back with another episode. This week we look at Chris Sun's 2017 "Boar". Just an overall really fun big ass monster flick. This giant ass Boar running around tearing up the land under. If you are into blood and guts scary wildebeests Bill Mosley cameos - this ones for you!
And we're back. Sorry for the delay. Got a good one (??) for you this time. Juan Piquer Simón's 1988 crazy ass movie - Slugs. Bad dubbing, horrible acting, fucking awesome kill scenes with the grossest slugs you've ever seen. Worth a watch if you are a gore fan.
WELCOME TO FREAK MONSTER THEATRE!!This week we wanted to change it up and pay homage to some of the older monster movies that really paved the way for horror - even though this one came out in 2022 lol. But it's more about the style than anything. Mathius and I are calling this our FREAK MONSTER THEATRE with the promise of like these to come. This one was another one of those... so bad it's good. The episode is definitely worth the listen but, only true die hards will actually get out there and watch this thing. Have fun!!
Part 2 of our "bestofbhorror" saga. Jake from bestofbhorror sits down with MCH to review the inspiration for his IG page - David Prior's 1987 gem - Aerobicide... also known as Killer Workout For a horror movie, this one was more of a work out tape than anything LOL. But there are some killer fight scenes from Fritz Matthews and Ted Prior (yes, David's brother). The same team that would go on to do Deadly Prey. The movie also has some cool kill scenes although, I will say, with a quite uncommon murder weapon. Loved this one and can't thank bestofbhorror enough for hanging out and putting this on our radar.
Got another interview for you! This episode, we sit down with Instagrams own, bestofbhorror. This is an instagram page dedicated to the best scenes of all the B horror movies you have never seen, which is right up our alley. Jake - the name behind the face of bestofbhorror sits down to talk with us about who he is and what he does, and how he started the page. Then we review the movie that was the inspiration for his page - Aerobicide. Check out the interview this week and then next weeks movie review. Don't forget to find bestofbhorror on instagram and enjoy!!
Mathius the iLL and Rated-PG got yet another great Full Moon picture coming at ya - well, kinda. Technically, it was an Empire Pictures movie but, potato tomato. This episode we have Scott Spiegel's 1989 awesomeness - INTRUDER. Stars our favorites like Sam & Ted Rami, Emilio Estevez's sister, Renee Estevez (who knew) and some other cool cameos. This one gives some some really cool camera work, fucking awesome kill scenes and a tie back to Raising Arizona (the fuck!?)... come check it out.
The big 1, 0. Mathius the iLL and Rated-PG have finally made it to a double digit season!! This episode we sit down over drinks and talk about John Douglass' and Buddy Cooper's 1984 cult classic - The Mutilator. We had a good time with this one. The kill scenes were awesome and a bit creative. Plus there has never been a better opening theme song for a horror movie than this one, we guarantee it!
