Based on "The Lunar Trilogy" a science fiction series written by Żuławski's Great Uncle.

Żuławski worked from 1975-1977, On the Silver Globe would have been one of the biggest European Films ever made, as it would have come out right before Star Wars.

However, the Polish Authorities shut down the filming because the Deputy Minister of Culture wanted to make a statement.
