Terrance Tate worked for the Wilmington DE Fire Department for 17 years. He joins us on the podcast to speak about the house fire that occurred on September 24, 2016 that claimed the lives of 3 Firefighters. His crew was tasked with rescuing a firefighter after a collapse & MAYDAY. A secondary collapse also trapped his partner, Jerry Fickes, with Terrance narrowly escaping. He'll tell his story of the incident, the lessons that he believes we should learn from the incident, and his road to recovery after.
There will (hopefully) be a Part 2 to this episode, with another member of the WFD telling his side of the story. Stay tuned for that.
Terrance asked for the audio from the incident to be added. Follow the link to hear the audio and listen to the call https://youtu.be/gp4mp5k-b-Y?si=u0Kt5Mrfqq0NoC0b
