Episode 1 — "The Introduction"

Host Gary kicks off Nineteen Acts of Injustice by the Washington National Guard, a series chronicling systemic abuse and cover-ups in the 168th Aviation Battalion from 1998–1999. Recorded on his birthday, Gary dedicates the series to then-Lieutenant Commander Brett D Daugherty, whose failures of leadership set everything in motion. He names Brigadier General Daniel Coffey as another officer who had the power to intervene but chose not to. This introductory episode sets the stage: episodes should be listened to in sequence, each building on the last, exposing how the military protects those who do wrong while punishing those who serve honorably.
