Western Maryland woke up feeling like early spring. The rest of us? Still stuck in winter's grip. Here's the deal. Baltimore and Central Maryland are sitting at 36 degrees this morning. Light winds, gray skies, typical February stuff. Now drive west on I-68. Watch that thermometer climb. By the time you hit Garrett County, you're at 50 degrees. That's 14 degrees above normal for mid-February. The kind of warmth that tricks your tulips into thinking it's March.
