Sadly, Solomon’s sin of idolatry led to the kingdom's division after his death. Rehoboam, Solomon's son, foolishly rejected wise counsel, resulting in Israel splitting into two kingdoms. God fulfilled His prophecy but spared Judah after its leaders repented.
