Step outside right now and you’ll feel it. That thick, tropical air is hanging over the state like a heavy, steamy blanket. We're sitting at 72 degrees under overcast skies. And yes, that’s exactly where we started the night too. There's no cooling off here folks, just pure, sticky March warmth.
Here comes the stormy showdown. Northwest Louisiana is already in the thick of it with severe thunderstorms rolling through. You're seeing 81 degrees there, but it feels more like a summer squall line. Some of these storms could pack damaging winds, hail. And even an isolated tornado. Definitely not your typical March morning.
