...And other tales of teacher burnout. This is a concept of an episode I've been noodling about for a while. I've caught myself so many times coming home after a long teaching day, parent-teacher conferences, school events, fundraisers, field trips, you name it saying "I've never been this tired before." And I would keep saying it with each new milestone of an experience in this profession. Why are we SO tired and we keep getting MORE tired than we ever thought we could?

Burnout.

You know what else we teachers are guilty of saying? "This has been the hardest year yet." Why? Why are we okay with that? Why are we even saying it?
