The Republican Texas Legislature has a history of appointing Democrats to chairmanship positions, but that has caused many GOP priorities to fail in recent sessions. Republicans are preparing to adopt the same practice in the upcoming 2023 session, jeopardizing more priorities. In this episode, I give my thoughts on this practice and suggest actions the grassroots can take to try to stop it.
Republicans were anticipating a large red wave in the 2022 midterm election. Why did it not materialize? In this episode, we look into why Republicans did not perform as well as we anticipated across much of the US, and what we can do differently in 2024.
