On this episode of the Jewish Disability Services - Together, We Make An Impact Podcast we are discussing Autonomy, Self Choice, and Masking within the disability community. We have the privilege of speaking with Dr. Shiri Sella, PsyD who is a licensed psychologist in NJ and PA and is a NJ-certified school psychologist in private practice in Marlton, NJ, who specializes in treating adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders, attention deficits, learning disabilities, behavioral difficulties, and anxiety disorders with an emphasis on supporting families and increasing independence at school, at home, at work, and in the community. Additionally, we are joined by Raechel Hammer, MSW Executive Director of Samost Jewish Family and Children’s Service (JFCS), an agency of the Jewish Federation of Southern NJ (JFSNJ). Raechel has a passion for creating an inclusive community and recently shared “It is the responsibility of each one of us to create an inclusive community. By remembering the value and strength in every person, regardless of their differences, we create a strong community based on mutual respect and understanding. This is at the heart of my JFCS journey, and I hope that you’ll join me.”
