Jake Fern is an artist with a really interesting podcast — he interviews guests while simultaneously painting their portrait.

It takes many hours, so the conversations are obviously long-form, but it's a double whammy: you get a podcast to listen to and beautiful paintings to look at. And his art is certainly beautiful.

Anyway, we went off-topic so much that I invited him back for a follow-up. Nonetheless, in this episode, we chatted mostly about the problems within the alternative/independent media.
