Today it feels right to talk about ACCOUNTABILITY. We are now through the first month of the new year, and we have found that it is best to have an ACCOUNTABILITY BUDDY (AB). To be most effective the buddy needs to know what we need, in what way, and how often. One of us has learned over the last week what not to do . . . DO NOT to ask a spouse/partner to be an AB for you . . . it just doesn’t work . . . and isn’t fair to the spouse/partner either. They are best when they can just be a partner, which is different from an AB. ABs sometimes have to ask the hard questions or point out that you really aren’t being very accountable. Which sparks us, yet not in a good way! We all appreciate hard ABs right? So let’s not be surprised or miffed when our ABs have to ask us the hard questions! Now let’s go do this right!
