A New Place of Worship in Christ

This sermon presents a theological discussion centered on the interaction between Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well from John 4:19-26. Steven Wilhoit, the speaker, explains how Jesus redirects the woman's focus from the physical location of worship to the spiritual nature of true worship. He emphasizes that genuine worship is found "in spirit and truth," meaning it stems from an engaged heart and an accurate understanding of God through Jesus Christ, who is the promised Messiah. The sermon highlights how Jesus met the woman in her place of shame and revealed himself to her, demonstrating that God's new place of worship is accessible to all, regardless of their past or external circumstances.
