Today I want to draw a fire-breathing dragon. Our dragon will be breathing fire, of course. He will also have wings and claws and scales. Our dragon is very fierce, brave, and tough so we will talk about how being tough looks different in different scenarios, like taking turns or standing up to bullies.

Today's topic was suggested by an artist named Henry. Thank you Henry!

Here are 3 ideas your imagination can wonder about based on our drawing today:

  1. What’s your dragon protecting in this picture?
  2. How does the whole 'fire breathing' thing work?
  3. Sometimes, you’ve gotta be tough and brave. What helps you remember that you are tough and brave?

If you want to draw more episodes like this, try dinosaurs or sharks.

If reptiles and sharp teeth are not your style, how about a fancy princess or a tree house.

Imagination Draw Along is an intentionally low stimulation show that gives artists space to develop confidence in decision making-- because there’s no wrong way to do art.
