Highlights

• We have auroras as far south as Mexico and every state within the continental US saw auroras as we got up almost to KP 9 as our field jumped from quiet to G4 severe storming at 1:22 utc today (last night for those of us on the EST time zone)
• The cannibal CME’s arrived with a SW magnetic orientation disturbing the Northern Hemispheres field and channeling those particles to us in North America.
• As of right now, this geomagnetic storm doesn’t appear as strong as the May 2024 storm, however, we are not done yet.
• We are still expecting the CME from the X 5.1 flare to impact us today. It is a faster and even stronger CME, we expect it to sustain and could elevate the current charge we already have with our geomagnetic field.
