Avery Acton :: Freedom in Truth :: John 8 :: July 5, 2026

Welcome to the Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church Sermon Podcast. We're grateful you've joined us today. Our prayer is that wherever you're listening—in your home, at work, or on the road—you will be encouraged and strengthened by God's Word.

Today's message was preached on Sunday, July 5, 2026, by Avery Acton. His sermon, "Freedom in Truth," is based on John 8:31–36.

In this passage, Jesus reminds us that true freedom is not found in independence, achievement, or doing whatever we please. Real freedom is found in abiding in his word, knowing the truth, and being set free by the Son. As we listen, may we be challenged to remain faithful disciples of Christ and to experience the lasting freedom that only he can give.
