FIND RESTMonday's Nugget with Pastor Shane July 7, 2025The Bible says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
In these verses from Mark 1:29-38, we see Jesus exemplifying the importance of solitude and prayer in His own life. After a busy day of ministry and healing, Jesus sought out a deserted place to spend time in communion with His Father.
"Anxious Hearts to Peaceful Minds!"In these verses, the apostle Paul provides us with a powerful reminder of the antidote to anxiety - prayer. Instead of allowing worry to consume us, we are encouraged to bring our concerns to God in prayer, with a heart filled with thanksgiving.
TRUST IN THE LORD!Trusting in the Lord means putting our confidence in Him and relying on Him to guide us through life's challenges. It means acknowledging that God's ways are higher than our ways, and that His plans for us are good and perfect. When we trust in the Lord, we can rest assured that He is in control, and that He will lead us on the right path.
WALKING IN UNITY AND LOVE!
BOUND TOGETHER IN UNITY!In Colossians 3, we are instructed on the qualities that believers should embody as members of the body of Christ. We are called to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, treating one another with love and grace. Through forgiveness and understanding, we can foster unity among fellow believers and reflect the character of Christ in our relationships.
HUMBLED IN SERVICE!Just as Jesus set aside His position and served others, we are called to have the same attitude.
EMBRACING GOD'S TIMING AND PURPOSE!Just as the changing seasons bring both challenges and blessings, our own journey is marked by different seasons that shape and mold us into who God intends us to be. In times of abundance, we learn gratitude and generosity. In times of hardship, we cultivate endurance and faith. Through it all, God is at work, weaving together every moment to fulfill His greater purpose in our lives.
EMPOWERED FOR PURPOSE THROUGH PRAYER!The passage from Acts 4 illuminates the power of prayer in aligning believers with God's purpose and mission. After facing opposition and threats, Peter and John turn to their fellow believers in prayer, lifting their voices in unity before the Sovereign Lord. In their prayer, they acknowledge God's sovereignty over all creation and seek His empowerment to fulfill their calling with boldness.
