This week on Highly Talkative Podcast, I’m getting into my thoughts on middle school coaches and some of the things we see happening when adults are responsible for shaping young athletes. We’re also talking about something that makes me smile every time — the bond between my kids, how they love each other, support each other, and how their relationships continue to grow as they get older. Then we’re getting into Taylor Frankie Paul, because y’all already know when something catches my attention, I’m bringing it to the podcast! And listen… I decided to start reading comments from social media posts and WHY are people this funny?! 😂 Some of these comment sections are honestly more entertaining than the original post. But everything isn’t funny. We also need to talk about grown adults picking on children because seriously… SMH. At what point do adults realize that kids are still KIDS and the way we speak to them, treat them, and talk about them matters? I’m also discussing Shanteria “Tia” Mosely and sharing my thoughts on her story. We Had Bikes… These Kids Got Passwords 😂

This week on Highly Talkative Podcast, I’m talking about a little bit of EVERYTHING — because y’all already know how we do over here. 😂 We’re starting with what school mornings have been looking like lately, allergy season beating us UP, and which one of my kids is actually the easiest to wake up. Then it’s Week 2 of football! My oldest wasn’t able to play last week because of his injury, but I’m so proud of the way he still showed up and supported his team however he could. His team got the win, my youngest had a great game, AND his team won too! 🏈❤️ I’m also getting into Kira J the Poet, how I discovered her, why her work speaks to me, and how poetry has been inspiring parts of my own healing journey. And yes — we’re talking about Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married Again?” From the Black cast and hilarious flashbacks to the real-life situations and deeper conversations about telling the truth, communicating, and being honest with our kids. I also open up about how therapy is genuinely working for me, including a situation that happened during a game and how my therapist helped me recognize that I had already started learning how to navigate my own emotions differently. PLUS: 📚 I’m getting back into reading — should Highly Talkative start a BOOK CLUB?! 🎙️ How often should I really be dropping podcast episodes? 🔐 Do our kids actually need privacy? Growing at Your Own Pace & Trusting the Process

We'll also dive into my spiritual journey, why I've become more interested in spirituality, the conversations around religion vs. spirituality, and how comforting it was realizing I'm not the only person asking these questions. Plus, can we talk about baby gear?! Why is finding the "perfect" travel stroller harder than buying a car? 😂 Nine years later and everything seems twice as expensive! I'll also share what traveling solo with an infant was really like, what made the trip easier than expected, and the must-have items I wouldn't leave home without.
