PRESSURE

Today, I want to talk about something every one of us has experienced: pressure. Maybe you’re feeling it right now. Pressure from family, finances, work, relationships, responsibilities, disappointment, or simply from not knowing what tomorrow will bring. Sometimes pressure can become so heavy that we ask, “God, where are You? Why am I going through this?” But today, I want you to look at pressure differently. What if the pressure isn’t punishment? What if God is using it as preparation?

YOUR DUTY — YOUR JOB — AS A BLOOD-BOUGHT CHRISTIAN!

“YOUR DUTY — YOUR JOB — AS A BLOOD-BOUGHT CHRISTIAN!” Now, somebody might be thinking: “Wait a minute… I thought salvation was a free gift?” Yes, it is! You couldn't earn it. You couldn't buy it. You couldn't work for it. You couldn't deserve it. Jesus paid for it! He paid for it with His precious blood on Calvary! But here's where the responsibility comes in: When Jesus saves you, He calls you! When He redeems you, He gives you an assignment. When He pulls you out of darkness, He tells you to shine your light. When He changes your life, He expects you to tell somebody else what He has done! You were not saved just to sit. You were saved to serve! You weren't redeemed just to keep it to yourself. You were redeemed to reach somebody else! And if the blood of Jesus has covered your life, then you've got a Kingdom assignment. Your workplace is an opportunity. Your family is an opportunity. Your neighborhood is an opportunity. Your church is an opportunity. Your testimony is an opportunity. Everywhere you go, you're carrying the evidence that Jesus still saves, Jesus still delivers, Jesus still restores, and Jesus still changes lives! So today we're going to talk about what it really means to be a blood-bought Christian. We're going to talk about your responsibility to live for Jesus, represent Jesus, tell people about Jesus, serve Jesus, love people, stand for truth, make disciples, and keep the fire burning! Because, church, we've got a job to do! And I believe somebody listening today needs to be reminded: YOU HAVE A PURPOSE! YOU HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT! YOU HAVE A TESTIMONY! And most importantly— YOU BELONG TO JESUS! So wherever you are, open your heart, open your Bible, and get ready for the Word of God. Because we're about to turn up the fire!

Through the Fire: Finding Strength in Suffering

In John 16:33, Jesus offers us a profound reassurance: “In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. “This promise reminds us that suffering is inevitable, but it does not have the final word. Suffering can serve as a divine tool—a pathway that refines our faith, develops our character, and draws us closer to Christ. It is during these challenging moments that our spiritual muscles are strengthened, and our dependence on God deepens.

Trusting the Clock Waiting on God's Timing

In our lives, patience is often tested. We pray, we seek, and we wait, sometimes feeling frustrated or doubtful. But the Word assures us in Ecclesiastes 3:1, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." God's timing is divine, intentional, and always for our good.

BUT GOD

Have you ever reached the end of your strength, only to discover that God was just getting started? In this powerful episode of the Heart Burn for Jesus Podcast, we explore two of the most hope-filled words in all of Scripture: "But God." When life says it's over, But God has the final word. Mathews as we journey through the Word of God and discover how the Lord steps into impossible situations with His limitless power and unfailing grace. This message will remind you that no matter how dark your circumstances may seem, God's promises are greater than your problems. If you've been battling fear, disappointment, addiction, failure, or hopelessness, this episode is a reminder that your story doesn't end where your struggle begins. But God is still healing, still delivering, still saving, and still working miracles today. Key Themes: God changes impossible situations. Grace triumphs over sin. Hope overcomes despair. God's faithfulness never fails. Your testimony isn't finished—because But God is still writing your story. Come expecting your faith to be strengthened, your heart to be encouraged, and the fire of the Holy Spirit to burn brighter than ever. "But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us..." — Ephesians 2:4 (NKJV) 🔥 If this message blesses you, be sure to follow, share, and invite someone else to experience the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

Obedience to the One True King

What does true obedience to God really look like in a world that celebrates self above surrender? In this powerful episode of the Heart Burn for Jesus Podcast, C.D. Mathews explores what it means to faithfully follow Jesus Christ—the One True King. Through the truth of God's Word, you'll discover that obedience isn't about legalism; it's about love, trust, and complete surrender to the Lord who gave everything for us. We'll examine how obedience unlocks God's blessings, strengthens our faith, and positions us to fulfill His purpose for our lives. Whether you're struggling to trust God's direction or seeking to deepen your walk with Christ, this episode will challenge, encourage, and inspire you to say, "Yes, Lord," no matter the cost. Join us as we declare that Jesus is King, His Word is final, and our greatest calling is to obey Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Scripture Focus: John 14:15, 1 Samuel 15:22, Matthew 6:33, Philippians 2:9–11 (NKJV) Don't just hear the Word—live it. Obedience to the One True King leads to a life of victory, purpose, and eternal reward.

"If the Foundations Are Destroyed: Returning to the God Who Blessed a Nation."

We're living in a generation where biblical truth is being challenged, families are under attack, morality is being redefined, and many have forgotten the God who has blessed this nation. But there is still hope. God has not abandoned His people. He is still calling men and women to repentance, revival, and restoration. Throughout this episode, we'll discover that when the foundations are shaken, God's Word remains unshaken. When culture changes, Christ never changes. And when a nation humbles itself before God, He is faithful to forgive, heal, and restore. So grab your Bible, open your heart, and invite the Holy Spirit to speak to you today. If this message encourages you, share it with someone who needs hope, and let's spread the fire of the Gospel together. This is the Heart Burn for Jesus Podcast, where we ignite hearts through the unchanging Word of God.

Part 11 “The Revelation Wrap-Up: From Warning to Glory”

We’ve walked through fire in this series. We’ve seen judgment… shaking… warning… separation… and glory. From the letters to the churches… to the rise of the beast… to the fall of Babylon… to the return of the King… to the final judgment… to a new heaven and a new earth… And now we stand at the end of the book—but not the end of the story. Revelation 1:3 says: "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near." Revelation 22:7 says: "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."
