A monster kona storm is spinning up northwest of the islands. We're talking central pressure near 990 millibars, winds over 100 knots aloft. This thing is going to flip our entire weather pattern starting Tuesday. Today stays calm. Oahu sees mostly sunny skies with a high near 81 degrees. Light east-southeast winds and just isolated showers. Tonight drops to 72 with haze. Over on the Big Island, expect scattered showers today with a high near 76. You've got a 60 percent chance of rain, especially along windward slopes. Tonight stays around 65 with those showers continuing.
