Pride can be easy to recognize in someone else, but much harder to recognize in ourselves. Satan is a liar, and he will use the lust of the flesh, pride, and deception to pull us away from God’s will. Sometimes the wisest answer to a question we cannot answer is simply to remain silent rather than pretend we know everything. Humility means being willing to admit, “I don’t know,” “I was wrong,” or “I need God.” We are not finished products—God is still working in us.
