When Darkness Comes

In Luke 22:47-53, Jesus is arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane after being betrayed by Judas. Surrounded by a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, Jesus remains completely in control of the situation. This message looks at Judas and the danger of outward religious activity without genuine faith, Peter's attempt to fight for Jesus with a sword, and the reality that Christ's kingdom is not built through earthly power. Even in what appears to be an hour of darkness, God is still in control. What Satan and sinful men intended for evil, God used to accomplish His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. This message challenges us to examine our own faith, trust in God's sovereignty, and remember that no amount of evil can stop the purposes of God. Not My Will, But Yours

In Luke 22:39-46, we see Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane facing one of the darkest moments before the cross. While Jesus prays in deep agony and submits Himself to the Father’s will, His disciples struggle to stay awake and pray. In this message, we look at what Jesus teaches us about prayer, temptation, trials, and trusting God when we face difficult circumstances. Our flesh is weak, but God gives us the strength we need to stand firm and remain faithful. As Christians, we are in a spiritual battle. The question is whether we will depend on ourselves or seek God’s help through prayer. Hard Earned Victory

Jesus points the disciples back to their first mission, when they traveled light and people provided for them. Then He changes the instructions. The next stretch will not be easy. They are heading into a world that hates Him and will hate them. The sermon looks at why that hostility comes, especially when the church preaches sin and the exclusivity of Christ. Pastor Kenny contrasts a clear gospel with a timid faith that tries not to offend anyone. Suffering is real. Defeat is not. The Spirit is given so the church can endure and still turn things upside down.

A Better Passover

In Luke 22, Jesus gathers with His disciples for the Passover meal on the night before His crucifixion. But this Passover is different. The sacrifice, the blood, and the deliverance they had remembered for generations were all pointing forward to something greater. Jesus is the fulfillment of the Passover. He is the Lamb who gives His life in the place of sinners and establishes the new covenant through His body and His blood. In this message, we look at what the Lord's Supper means, why Christ had to become flesh and shed His blood, how we receive Christ by faith, and what genuine faith looks like in the life of a believer. Above all, we are reminded to remember the gospel, not merely when we take the Lord's Supper, but every day of our lives.

The Plans of God

What do we do when God's plan doesn't look like our plan? In Luke 22, Jesus gives Peter and John seemingly simple instructions to prepare the Passover. Yet even in these small details, we see the sovereignty and providence of God at work. Everything happens exactly as Jesus said it would, because God's plans cannot be thwarted. In this message, we explore what God's sovereignty and providence mean for us as believers. God is not distant or detached from the circumstances of our lives. He is working through all things according to His purpose, we can trust Him even when we don't understand what He's doing. Whatever you're facing, you can rest in this truth: God is in control, God has a purpose, and He does all things well. Listen to this message from Luke 22 and be encouraged to trust the plans of God.

Haters and a Deconstructionist

In Luke 22:1–6, we see the beginning of the plot that would lead to Jesus Christ's crucifixion. The religious leaders hated Jesus, Judas betrayed Him, and yet none of these events happened outside the sovereign plan of God. In "Haters and a Deconstructionist," we examine why the religious leaders rejected Jesus, what Judas' betrayal reveals about false faith and apostasy, and how modern deconstruction can reflect the same temptation to reject God when He doesn't conform to our expectations. Are you truly following Christ, or have you simply learned to play the part? Scripture: Luke 22:1–6

Be Ready for Christ’s Return | Life in the Last Days - Part 5

What should Christians do if we truly believe Jesus Christ is returning? In the final message of the Life in the Last Days series, we come to Luke 21:34–38 and Jesus’ practical instructions following the Olivet Discourse. Believers are called to stay alert, resist the distractions and sins of this world, remain faithful in serving Christ, and live with the expectation of His return. The truth about the future should change how we live today. As Jesus reminds us, we do not know the day or the hour—but we can be ready. The Return of Jesus | Life in the Last Days - Part 4

In Part 4 of Life in the Last Days, Kenny continues through Luke 21:25–33 and examines Christ’s return, the judgment that will come upon the earth, and the hope believers have as their redemption draws near. Jesus’ words remind us that while heaven and earth will pass away, His words will never pass away. The question is simple: Are you ready for His return?

The One Who is Worthy

In Revelation 5, we're given a breathtaking glimpse into the throne room of heaven, where one question echoes throughout creation: Who is worthy? In this message, Josh Dison explores why Jesus Christ alone is worthy to reveal God's plan, redeem His people, and receive all honor, glory, and praise. As the Lion of Judah and the Lamb who was slain, Christ stands alone as the One worthy to open the scroll and accomplish God's perfect will.

Life in the Last Days – Part 3

In Life in the Last Days – Part 3, Pastor Kenny Waites continues through Luke 21, examining Jesus' teaching on prophecy, the future of Jerusalem, and God's unfolding plan for the last days. This message reminds us that while we may not know every detail of the future, we can have complete confidence in the God who does.
