Baltimore-based Drs. Elmer Martin and Joanna Martin wanted to teach Black history in a way that would grab kids’ attention—so they did it with wax. Their vision ultimately lead to the creation of the National Great Blacks in Wax Museum, the first African American wax museum in the US.
