Author and historian Carter G. Woodson was known as “The Father of Black History” for creating what lead to Black History Month. Woodson also published The Mis-Education of the Negro in 1933, now available for free download in the public domain. This collection of articles and speeches demanded school systems across America eliminate curricula designed to deliberately “mis-educate” Black children and promote the fallacy of white supremacy.
