Today we talk about Tepidity. Something that we all should take account of in our faith journey on a regular basis.
Today we read from Matthew 18 about Jesus explaining how the Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven will be those who make themselves like little children for him. Then we talk about St Terese "The Little Flower" who did exactly that.
Today we read from Matthew 21 about the Parable of the Two Sons. Then we go to the Old Testament reading of Ezekiel Chapter 18 and read it in it's entirety about Personal Accountability for all.
Today we read from John Chapter 10 and discuss how Jesus was clearly telling the people who were asking him if he was or was not the Messiah, Who exactly he is! Spoiler alert they did not listen.
Today we read from Matthew Chapter 20 and discuss the parable of the Workers in the Vineyard. Is God unfair by giving the people who are saved in the 11th hour of life the same that he gives to those who have been faithful for their entire life?
Today we read from Galations 6 about St. Paul bearing the wounds of Cross on his body. This is also known as the Stigmata. Then we go over other famously known cases of people who had the stigmata all the way up to St. Padre Pio who was still alive and bearing the stigmata in 1968.
Today we read from a Book not found in many Non Catholic or Orthodox Bibles. It is the Book of Sirach or the Wisdom of Been Sira. It is wise things about forgiving others, watching our tongues, and other things we probably want to do or think we are doing....... and we probably are not. At least Not as well as we need to be doing them
Today we read from Isaiah 61 and Luke Chapter 4 and talk about how the prediction of the Prophet Isaiah in his writings was about Jesus and how at the start of Jesus Ministry while reading scripture in his Hometown Synagogue he reads that scripture then tells them it has been fulfilled in him. Thus admitting to his home town, he was the Messiah. Right after they took him out of town and tried to toss him off a cliff but that is how it happened.
Today we read from James Chapter 2 about Faith and Deeds. Is what James is saying contrary to What St. Paul teaches us about Faith Alone? How can these two early church leaders say somethings very different and both are in the Bible? We also tackle the Christian Controversy about James being the brother of Jesus. It is written in the Bible that he is Jesus's brother. We will explain how they may not be the actual case. We also read from James Chapter 3 about controlling our tiny tongues.
Today we read from Luke 17 and talk about Forgiving others, asking for more faith, what to do with the faith that we have and our duty as Lowly Servants. We also have a prayer of humility.
