Notas del episodio
Jaime Lannister, broken by the loss of his sword hand, tries to provoke his own death on the road to Harrenhal until Brienne forces him to keep living. Varys opens a crate revealing the sorcerer who maimed him decades ago, then partners with Olenna Tyrell to outmaneuver Littlefinger's plan to seize Sansa — Margaery offers her marriage to Loras as a way out of King's Landing. At Craster's Keep, starving Night's Watch mutineers murder Craster and stab Lord Commander Mormont in the back; Sam flees into the wilderness with Gilly and her newborn. Theon's mysterious rescuer leads him through tunnels back to the same dungeon, the entire escape revealed as cruelty. Arya and the Hound are dragged before Beric Dondarrion's Brotherhood, where she accuses him of killing Mycah and earns him a trial by combat. In Astapor, Daenerys completes the trade for the Unsullied, reveals she has spoken Valyrian all along, and orders the army to sack the city while her dragon burns Kraznys alive.
The hour is built around identity stripped or hidden — Jaime without his hand, Theon without hope, Mormont's command undone by his own men, and Daenerys revealing the Targaryen she has always been. Varys's patient revenge frames the episode's thesis that power belongs to those willing to wait, while the Tyrells quietly take control of the Sansa problem the Lannisters cannot solve. By the time eight thousand freed soldiers trample the slaver's whip into the road, the season's balance of power has shifted decisively toward Daenerys, the Night's Watch is fractured, and the Hound's fate hangs on a single duel.
