They discuss why it was a hugely important win for the Mariners, Max Caputo's excellent form, Mark Jackson's tactical tweak which changed the game, and whether improved performances have come too late for Melbourne City, before finishing with a showering of praise for midfielder Max Balard following his recent performances and late winner.
Then they pivot to some general chat, with Jake providing a hot take he has about the Wellington Phoenix (16:51), and Christian posing the question of whether Sydney FC should be taken more seriously as championship contenders (20:31). The boys finish by talking about former Western Sydney Wanderers midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin's recent comments to FTBL (26:34), considering whether he would be a good addition for Western United or any other club should he return to Australia next season.
