Rachel retaliates with her own buried secret: she started a rumor that Ross hooked up with the school librarian — which Ross inadvertently confirms is true. Monica brokers peace, Joey eats an entire nineteen-pound turkey and ends up in maternity pants, and Will struggles to process that Ross is having a baby with the woman they once organized against.
The episode excavates the group's high school dynamics and uses them to illuminate who these characters were before the show began. Ross's contradictions — secret devotion curdling into institutional resentment — get their fullest comedic treatment here, and Rachel is forced to reckon with a version of herself she'd conveniently forgotten.
