Notas del episodio
Phoebe undergoes embryo transfer as a surrogate for her half-brother Frank Jr. and his wife Alice, facing a 25% success rate and the weight of their entire savings on a single attempt. Across the hall, a grocery bag bet between the two apartments escalates into a high-stakes trivia showdown, with Ross as quizmaster and Monica wagering the girls' apartment against Joey and Chandler giving up their rooster. The guys win when neither Monica nor Rachel can name Chandler's job, forcing an apartment swap — and Phoebe's second pregnancy test comes back positive.
Both storylines hinge on the same pressure: one shot, everything on the line. The trivia game is the series at its most purely comedic, exposing how well the guys actually know the girls and how Monica's competitive instincts override basic judgment. The surrogacy arc adds genuine emotional stakes to the episode, grounding the laughs in something that carries real consequence into the rest of the season.
