Peace

Peace - Amy Baker December 8, 2024 Forest City Church In our second week of advent we examined PEACE. If last week we meditated on the idea of hope being rooted in the future, this week we examined peace being a gift for the present time. Where in the world do we find peace? Can we achieve it in our own effort? How does peace or a lack of peace affect our lives? Is it even realistic to think we can live with peace in this current reality? First time watching? Hope

Hope - Jordan Baker December 1, 2024 Forest City Church On the first Sunday of Advent, Jordan zeroed in on the subject of hope. Examining both the original context of Isaiah 9 and how it relates to our current realities as well as the views of both pessimism and optimism Christians often hold - Can we truly hold a healthy, resilient view of hope in our time? What do the events of Christmas really mean to us in regards to hope? First time watching? We’d love to hear from you! Andy Moore

Andy Moore November 24, 2024 Forest City Church This past Sunday, Pastors Andy and Lisa Moore were with us from Coastline Church in Victoria. Pastor Andy examined the journey of Elijah from of 1 Kings 17. Even though the mighty prophet was obediently speaking with authority from God - he was not without hardship and suffering. Pastor Andy brought us so much encouragement as he illuminated three specific lessons we can take heed and hope in in our own lives and journeys of faith. First time watching? Next Gen Takeover Sunday

Next Gen Takeover Sunday - Riley Braun November 17, 2024 Forest City Church t's time for one of our favourite Sundays of the year! And as such, we couldn't just crop one part - but felt we needed to share this entire experience with our online community. We believe at Forest City we learn so much from one another - and that includes the youngest amongst us! This Sunday our kids joined the 'big people" for "upstairs church". Everything from hosting, to singing, to communion. Plus, we heard from one of our very own high school students to hear to what God is up to at her school. Riley Braun, our Kids Lead - shared a message close to his heart about the importance of choosing to remember the past, and carrying on the faith to the next generation. By the end, we all felt a little more silly, a little bit more wiggly but most of all - a little more thankful for the young people in our church leading into the future with joy and optimism!
