Audience of One | Stand in Awe | Pastor Mark Daniel
What does the fear of God really look like, and how does it set you free from the fear of man? If you've ever felt the pull to shape your faith around what people think, this message is for you. Starting in 2 Corinthians 11:4, we look at how easy it is to build a different Jesus who never challenges us, and why Scripture calls us to come to God with faith and reverence. We walk through seven marks of what godly fear is and isn't, then unpack the snare of living for people's approval, the fear that frees you from every other fear, and how to break the snare by confronting it honestly and saturating your life in God's Word. It closes with an invitation to stop playing religious games and walk with Jesus day by day. Discovering the Incomprehensible God | Stand in Awe | Pastor Mark Daniel
God is not a bigger version of us. He is transcendent, and the higher your view of Him gets, the easier it becomes to trust Him. This message walks through the unsearchable greatness of God and why a low view of God makes trust almost impossible. It opens with Israel meeting God at the mountain after 400 years surrounded by Egypt's idols, then works through four ways God transcends us: He is beyond the physical laws, beyond our comprehension, beyond time, and beyond space. Along the way you will hear the miracles that prove there is no one like Him, C.S. Lewis describing eternity as an infinite sheet of paper with a one inch pencil line drawn on it, and an honest word about why we keep trying to figure God out instead of trusting Him. If you have been struggling to trust God, this message points you back to where trust actually grows: getting into the Word daily and asking God to open your eyes to who He really is. Because the same God who fills the infinite expanse of the universe is the God who surrounds you personally right now. You are not out of His sight, you are not beyond His reach, and you are not beyond His grace.
God Cannot Be Tamed | Stand in Awe | Pastor Mark Daniel
Is God high and exalted on the throne, or has He quietly become your convenient assistant, the one you call when you need a favor? This message on the reverence and holiness of God confronts the casual familiarity that has crept into how we approach Him. Part 1 of the Stand in Awe series. Walking through Isaiah 6 and Israel's encounter at Mount Sinai, Pastor shows why God told Moses the plagues and the parting of the sea would not be the proof of His identity, but the mountain would. A small view of God produces a fragile faith, one that cannot carry you through trials, comfort your suffering, or meet your needs. When we see God as He truly is, our arrogance dies, our worship becomes real, sin loses its appeal, and our hearts catch fire. If your faith has felt thin lately, this message points to the reason and to the way back: open the Word, come humble and hungry, and ask God to show you who He really is. 🙏 We'd love to connect with you! 🏛 Join us in person Focal Point Church – Orlando, FL - USA 💻 Join us online every Sunday – You Tube: 10:30 Eastern 🤝 Find a Growth Group Join a Growth Group in person or online. https://www.focalpointchurch.com/groups-2/ 🌐 https://focalpointchurch.com If this message blessed you, leave a comment below and let us know what spoke to you most. Unbreakable Life | Apostle Andrew Ng'ang'a
What is your life actually built on? Because when the storms hit, and they will, the depth of your foundation is what decides whether you stand or fall. In this message, Apostle Andrew Ng'ang'a visiting from Kenya walks through Jesus's teaching in Matthew 7, the story of two builders who faced the exact same rain, floods, and wind, yet ended up in two very different places. The difference was never the size of the storm. It was the depth of the foundation. From a delayed flight caused by rain to the stories of Esau, the rich young ruler, Judas, Saul, and David, this message challenges us to move past simply hearing God's Word and start actually practicing it, quietly and privately, one day at a time. If this past year has shaken you, or you can feel the pressure building right now in your marriage, your family, or your own walk with God, this message is for you. Being a believer does not exempt anyone from the storms. It just means you get to choose what you are building on. How can you know? | Reach | Pr Mark Daniel
"Are you a Christian? How do you know?" That's the question at the heart of this message, and if you've never been able to answer it with real confidence, this one is for you. Too many of us are living with a "hope so" faith instead of a "know so" faith. In this message, we look at four false assurances people often lean on to feel okay with God (trying to be good, a general belief in God, church attendance, or a past emotional experience) and then four biblical assurances that let you know, not just hope, that you belong to God: personal repentance, the witness of the Holy Spirit, spiritual growth, and peace with God. This message ends with an open invitation to respond and settle the question for good. Whether you've walked with Jesus for years or you're still trying to figure out where you stand with Him, this message will help you move from uncertain to sure.
Cosmic Courtroom | Reach | Pr Mark Daniel
You don't need the perfect argument. You just need to be a witness. This week's message looks at what it actually means to be a witness: ordinary people carrying real evidence of a real God into their homes, workplaces, and friendships. From the disciples' simple invitations in the book of Acts, to a New York City prayer meeting in 1857 that helped spark a nationwide revival, to an uneducated shoe salesman who started the largest Sunday school in America, this message traces one truth through history: God has always used ordinary people to be His witnesses. You'll leave with five simple, practical ways to be a witness starting this week, and a fresh push to invite someone to Friend Day. Better Together | Reach | Pr Vinny Costa
You were never meant to do life alone. In this message, Pastor Vinny Costa asks a simple but piercing question: if you were the one on the mat, who would carry you to Jesus? Better Together looks at three biblical truths about why we need each other: belonging is part of God's plan, relationships are one of God's tools for transformation, and our strength is meant to become someone else's support. Using the story of the four friends who carried a paralyzed man to Jesus in Mark 2, Pastor Vinny shows what it looks like to know someone's burden, share the weight, and carry people toward Jesus instead of toward ourselves. This message also marks the relaunch of our Growth Groups and introduces the BLESS app, a simple way to start praying for your neighbors as we build toward Friend Day on August 30. Before You Go | Reach Series, Part 1 | Pr Andrew Daniel
What does it look like to actually reach up to God, not just show up for him? In the first message of our brand new series, Reach, we ask one question and camp out on the answer: what happens when we truly reach up? This message starts back in Genesis, tracing how sin broke our vertical relationship with God and how that break spills into every relationship we have. From there we talk about what it means to get close enough to God to know his heart instead of just receiving from him, including a story about a father, a son, and a heartbeat that says more than words could. We close by looking at what happens when reaching out to people stops being a have to and becomes something we simply cannot stop doing, and we put it into practice together, praying and writing down the names of people we sense God calling us to invite. This is Part 1 of the Reach series, leading up to Friend Day on August 30. One Generation Away | Min. Tony Velasquez
There are eight living generations in America today, and God never commanded us to critique the next one, He commanded us to disciple them. On NXT GEN Sunday, Minister Tony brings a timely word: if your generation stopped talking about Jesus today, what would the next generation know about Him tomorrow? Filling in while Pastor Mark ministers in Kenya, Minister Tony unpacks Judges 2:10 and 1 Peter 2:9 to show that our future depends on discipling the generation after us. The message walks through three points: our future relies on the next generation, our responsibility is the Great Commission itself, and our everyday lives, not just our words, are what actually shape the faith of our kids and grandkids. 📖 Scripture Reference: Judges 2:10-13, 1 Peter 2:9, Matthew 28:18-20, Proverbs 22:6 ⛪ Special Service: NXT GEN Sunday TIMESTAMPS 0:00 Welcome & NXT GEN Sunday Kickoff 1:13 Update: Pastor Mark's Missions Trip in Kenya 2:19 Prayer for Pastor Mark and Kenya 3:41 Eight Generations, One Message 9:14 Sermon Title Reveal: One Generation Away 10:35 Point 1: Our Future Relies on the Next Generation 13:52 The Soccer Field Illustration: Subjective Truth vs. Truth 21:32 Point 2: Our Responsibility, the Great Commission 26:10 Point 3: Our Lives Impact the Next Generation 29:41 Camp Story: Taking a Stand for Jesus 34:40 Anointing and Blessing the Next Generation 45:01 Closing Prayer for Revival 48:21 Benediction 🔔 Subscribe for weekly Sunday messages: @focalpointchurch 🌐 Visit us: focalpointchurch.com 📱 Follow us: fpc_orlando
Where Grace Calls Us | Pr Andrew Daniel
Peter denied Jesus three times, then went right back to his old life as a fisherman. But Jesus didn't leave him there. In this final message of our summer series through the book of John, we see Jesus meet Peter at his lowest point, on a beach, after a night of catching nothing, and offer him a grace that fully restores and recommissions him. This message closes out "The Blessed Life," our journey through the Gospel of John, with [Speaker Name] walking through John 21:1-17. We see three things: Jesus meets us in our exhaustion and shame rather than waiting for us to clean ourselves up first, His grace doesn't sweep our failures under the rug but fully pardons them, and He recommissions us for His purposes even after our worst moments. Peter's threefold restoration ("Do you love me? Feed my sheep") becomes the same Peter who later preaches with boldness in Acts 2. Scripture Reference: John 21:1-17
