The Gospel + Nothing | Galatians 2:11-21

The greatest threats to the gospel don't always come from false teachers. Sometimes they come from believers whose lives contradict the message they profess. In Galatians 2, the Apostle Paul publicly confronts Peter; not because Peter preached a false gospel, but because his behavior denied the implications of the true one. Peter believed salvation was by grace through faith alone, yet fear led him to act as though some Christians were more acceptable to God than others. In this message, Pastor Jon walks through Galatians 2:11–21, showing that: The Gospel can be undermined by our conduct. We are justified before God by faith alone in Christ alone. Grace doesn't encourage sin; it produces transformed lives. The Christian life is lived from God's acceptance, not for it. The gospel is more than a message we believe, it is a reality that reshapes the way we live. Our lives are always preaching a sermon. The question is: does that sermon agree with the gospel we profess? The Gospel + Nothing | Galatians 2:1-10

The gospel is worth protecting because it's the only message that can save. In Galatians 2:1–10, Paul refuses to compromise the truth of the gospel; even under pressure from influential leaders. Though the apostles affirm his ministry, false brothers attempt to add human works to God's grace. Paul's response is unwavering. The Gospel + Nothing | Galatians 1:1-10

The gospel is good news because Jesus has already done what we never could. In the opening message of our new Galatians series, The Gospel + Nothing, we explore why the moment we add anything to the finished work of Christ...our performance, morality, religion, or good intentions...we don't improve the gospel...we destroy it. In Galatians 1:1–10, the Apostle Paul sounds the alarm against every counterfeit gospel and calls the church back to the only message that saves: salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. If you've ever wondered: • Am I doing enough for God? • Does God still accept me when I fail? • Why was Paul so uncompromising about the gospel? ...this message is for you. WEBSITE GIVE

The Sent Life | Matthew 10:32–39

It’s possible to associate with Jesus, without ever truly aligning with Him. In this message from Matthew 10:32–39, we come face-to-face with a reality we often try to avoid: following Jesus isn’t casual, private, or cost-free. There is no neutral ground. No middle space. Jesus calls us to openly acknowledge Him, to stand with Him, and to reorder our entire lives around Him. That kind of allegiance will cost you. It may cost approval. It may cost comfort. It may even create tension in your closest relationships. But Jesus makes it clear—He doesn’t come second. He is either first… or He is not truly followed. And yet, this call is not loss—it’s the path to life. If you’ve ever felt the tension between following Jesus and keeping control; between comfort and obedience—this message is for you. You don’t casually follow Jesus. You must pick a side. 🎧 Listen now: https://sacvillage.org 🙏 Partner with us in the mission: https://sacvillage.org/give

The Sent Life | Matthew 10:26-31

Why do we stay silent when it matters most? In this message from Matthew 10:26–31, we explore how the fear of man quietly shrinks our witness—keeping us from living boldly for Jesus. But Jesus doesn’t call us to be fearless…He calls us to fear rightly. When the fear of God outweighs every other voice, everything changes. Our obedience, our boldness, and our freedom all begin to take shape. And here’s the good news: The One we are called to fear…is also the Father who sees you, knows you, and gave His Son for you. If your deepest fear has been dealt with at the cross, then you are free to live sent. Village is located in Sacramento, CA. The Sent Life | Matthew 10:1-15

In this message from Gospel of Matthew 10:1–15, we see that following Jesus isn’t just about what happens to you; it’s about what happens through you. Before the disciples are sent, they are called to be with Jesus. And from that relationship flows everything: their authority, their message, their dependence, and their responsibility. This sermon walks through four defining marks of the sent life: • Called to Him • Sent with His message • Dependent on His provision • Responsible for their response If you’ve ever felt like being “sent” is for someone else; pastors, missionaries, or “professional” Christians; this message will reframe that entirely. The sent life isn’t a special calling for a few… it’s normal Christianity. You are not just going to work. You are not just in your neighborhood. You are sent. 🌐 Learn more or plan your visit: https://www.sacvillage.org 💛 Give to support the mission: https://www.sacvillage.org/give
