Jesus is the image of the invisible God; his life and teachings reveal God’s Kingdom and his commitment to restoring all creation. The Gospel of Mark invites us to witness the powerful drama of Jesus confronting the broken kingdoms of this world. Through Mark, we not only see Jesus’ authority and compassion but also find encouragement to persevere as his followers, especially when we face challenges and opposition.
