Stop Making Excuses and Take Action
I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Robert J. Hunt about the power of accountability. Robert shared openly about his own journey to financial freedom and how taking ownership changed his life. In our conversation, Robert explained why accountability leads to true freedom - when we stop making excuses and take action. His book "Nobody Cares Until You Do" tells the story of paying off $90k in debt through some difficult decisions. We also discussed how to live out our faith in everyday life, not compartmentalizing it to Sundays. Robert challenged us to view even our workplace as a mission field and glorify God in all we do. I'd highly recommend checking out Robert's book to learn more about embracing accountability. He's graciously offering the first two listeners a free copy just for being a fan of this podcast! Simply go to NobodyCaresPod.com, fill out the contact form, and use code FULLYENGAGED to claim your free book. Let me know what you think about accountability and bringing your faith to work. I read all your comments and love keeping the conversation going. Parenting Gender Confused Children Support Group: https://faithfullyengaged.com/support-group/ Podmatch: Want to be a podcast guest? Discovering Grace Despite Religious Roots
I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Amelia Walden, author of the inspiring new book "From Jew to Gentile." In our conversation, Amelia shares her incredible story of coming from a Jewish/Catholic background to discovering a personal relationship with Jesus. Even after attending Catholic school, she realized she knew little about the Bible or what it means to know God. It wasn't until attending a local church service as an adult that the gospel truly clicked for Amelia. She vividly recalls hearing the pastor mention the book of "Johnny" (John), which opened her eyes to how much she still needed to learn. From that point on, she was hungry to dive deeper into scripture and build an authentic faith of her own. Amelia is so transparent about the ups and downs of her journey - from having a negative view of Christians to finally embracing the grace Jesus offers. No matter your background, I think you'll find a lot of wisdom and encouragement in her story. We also talk about the divide in our culture and how we can stand for truth while still loving others well. This is so key right now! If you want to connect with Amelia or get a copy of her book, I've included links below. I'd highly recommend giving it a read - it blessed me tremendously. As always, let me know your thoughts! Ask Better Questions, Have Better Conversations
I'm back with another faith-focused conversation that I think you'll really enjoy. Today's chat is with Mandy Pallock, a creative communicator who is passionate about using questions to build resilient relationships. In this interview, Mandy shares vulnerably about her journey from hating talking to people to discovering the beauty of curious questions. I think you'll be encouraged by her practical tips for overcoming awkwardness and asking great questions in your daily life. We cover a lot of ground, from modeling curiosity for our kids to living purposefully, even in mundane moments like waiting in line. Mandy has some fantastic thoughts on seeing people through Jesus' redemptive eyes, instead of attacking issues and people. I'd love to hear your takeaways in the comments! And if you want to dive deeper into Mandy's message, check out her new book The Question Habit, along with her podcast Presently Engaged. From $200k to $20 Million: A Christ-Centered Approach to Wealth
I'm back with another faith-focused chat that I think you'll find super valuable. Today I had the pleasure of talking with Wyatt Simon, a real estate investor who has built an incredible $20 million portfolio starting with just a $200k line of credit. In our laid-back discussion, Wyatt shares his origin story of how he got into real estate investing, including the mindset shifts and practical steps he took. I think you'll be encouraged and motivated by his perspective on using wealth and assets to glorify God, rather than hoarding riches for selfish gain. We also talk about common obstacles that hold people back from financial growth and stability. Wyatt offers some great advice on getting out of your own way, doubling down on your talents, and hiring out the rest. A few key takeaways: - Mindset is key - believe you're worth what you say you're worth and develop the discipline to stick to it - Focus on your highest-value tasks and outsource the rest - Interdependence is powerful - do what you're uniquely gifted at so we can all prosper Whether you're hoping to grow in financial wisdom or be inspired by Wyatt's faith-fueled mindset, I think you'll enjoy our conversation. A Wife's Ultimatum: Finding Redemption From Sexual Sin
I recently had an impactful chat with Logan Hufford, a man who has an incredible story of finding hope and healing from sexual addiction. Logan was trapped in a cycle of porn, affairs, and seeing prostitutes for years. He felt overwhelmed by shame and like there was no way out. But when his wife gave him an ultimatum to get help or lose his family, it was a wake-up call. In this video, Logan walks through his journey to recovery. He shares about the Christ-centered 12-step program he joined, about retraining his brain and building new neural pathways, and the vital role community played. I loved hearing how Logan emphasizes recovery must address all areas - spiritual, scientific, and practical. Just "getting your heart right" isn't enough. Lasting change requires tangible actions too. Logan also talks about resources that were helpful for him, like the Psalms, his Instagram account @nolongerinbondage, and the Conquer Series. I hope Logan's story gives hope to anyone feeling trapped in sexual sin or addiction. There is a way forward, and people who will walk with you. Recovery is possible through God's redemption and the support of others. What stood out to you most from Logan's journey? What questions do you have for him about the recovery process? How One Man's Mission Trip Sparked a Movement to Rescue Sex Trafficking Victims
I recently had the privilege of chatting with Kenny Sacht, founder of Wipe Every Tear. His story is so compelling - while on a mission trip, he witnessed firsthand the horrors of sex trafficking that so many vulnerable young women face. As a father of five daughters, his heart broke and he felt called to do something. What began as a desire to help just one victim transform into a life of freedom has blossomed into an entire organization rescuing and restoring dozens of precious lives. In this interview, Kenny shares: - The origins of Wipe Every Tear and how his passion to help was ignited - Practical ways average people can get involved in supporting victims - Stories of survivors and how love and education is changing their lives - Why we must see all people, even perpetrators, through God's eyes I was so moved by Kenny's vision to simply "love them justly" - no judgment, no hero complex. Just meeting victims right where they're at with the heart of Jesus. If you feel stirred to help or learn more, check out the links below! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments too.
