What does it really mean to put your heart into your art? In this episode of Iris of Our I, I sit down with the incredible Melissa West — an artist whose work speaks deeply about emotion, experience, and creative expression. Melissa shares her inspiring journey through printmaking, returning to painting after years away, and the raw honesty behind making art that sparks conversation. We dive into what art truly means, how creativity helps us process life, and the courage it takes to show up authentically through your work. This interview is about more than just the process — it’s about the stories, struggles, and beautiful mess that comes with being a creator. If you're an artist, creative thinker, or just someone who loves hearing how art connects us all, this one’s for you.
